Annual Auction – The Chamber’s auction is the only annual fundraiser on behalf of the Chamber. Typically held in the fall, the event has a live auction, a silent auction, a raffle, and other fun activities that coordinate to the event’s theme.
Aviation Breakfast and Festival – The Annual Aviation Breakfast and Festival celebrates aviation in Norman, held at Max Westheimer Airport. The breakfast is a sponsored event featuring an aviation focused speaker. The festival provides tours of the facility, hosts static displays of several aircraft, shows off aircraft and control tower simulators, and provides several children’s activities. This event is typically held in September or October.
Chamber Banquet – The Chamber’s annual banquet is the ‘changing of the guard’ for the Chamber Board of Directors. A wrap-up of the previous year is given by the outgoing chair and a vision of the future is given by the incoming chair. The event also honors the NEXT Under 40 awards chosen by Norman NEXT, Norman Women’s Leadership Award, a Chairman’s award, and the President’s award. This event is typically held in the beginning of the year.
Fall Arts Lunch – The yearly luncheon highlights the important relationship between the arts and business communities through awards given by the Chamber's Business and the Arts Committee and the Norman Arts Council.
Leadership Alumni Reception – The Leadership Alumni Reception is a come-and-go event open to all Leadership Norman Alumni and Leadership Oklahoma alumni.
Legislative Breakfast – The free and open-to-the-public Legislative Breakfast is held in January or February of each year and features Norman’s State Senators and Representatives. Each legislator gives a highlight of the bills they personally will introduce and an overall expectation for the legislative session.
Legislative Lunch – The Legislative Lunch is held at the end of each legislative session and features comments from Norman’s State Senator and Representatives. The lunch also often features a statewide or federally elected official to give a wrap-up of the previous legislative session.
National Weather Festival – The National Weather Festival is held in late October or early November at the National Weather Center. The festival serves as an open house for the NWC, features several weather related industries, provides tours of the national weather service offices, and offers several science related children’s activities for children of all ages.
State of the Schools – The State of the Schools features the superintendent of Norman Public Schools, who provides insight into the current issues, needs, and achievements of the district. This event is held at the end of the year.
35 South - The “35 South Project” is designed to keep Norman-to-OKC commuters in contact with what’s happening in Norman. Biannual lunches are held in Oklahoma City to provide updates to people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to hear.
General Membership Meetings – General Membership meetings cover a wide range of topics that appeal to Chamber members.
Lunch & Learns – Lunch and Learns are smaller, more focused topics than a general membership meeting. Topics such as “how to hire a good employee,” and “writing a good business plan,” have been covered.
Women’s Leadership Lunch – Women’s Leadership lunches are female-only events that feature female CEO’s and business leaders. Topics focus on leadership, work-life balance, and other issues facing working women.
Business After Hours – Held on the third Tuesday of each month at various locations.
Business Before Hours – Held on the fourth Wednesday of most months at various locations. (Not held in November and December)
Thursday After Hours – Held on the first Thursday of most months at various locations. (Not held in January, July or October).
