The Firehouse Art Center welcomes the holiday season with its annual Holiday Gift Gallery

on November 15, 2017

Shoppers can kick-off the gift-giving season at the Firehouse Art Center’s Holiday Gift Gallery. Open from November 10 through December 23, 2017, this festive extension of the Firehouse’s permanent gift shop features an expanded collection of fine art and holiday gifts made by regional artists. The Holiday Gift Gallery will have additional shopping hours on Friday, November 17, and Friday, December 15, 2017, from 6 to 9 PM. Regular Firehouse business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The 2017 Holiday Gift Gallery presents original and handmade wares, including recent work from new artists and returning makers, 90% of whom reside in Oklahoma. Unique ceramics pieces, glass ornaments, handmade toys, jewelry, home goods, art prints, paintings, and much more will all be available for purchase from this special seasonal selection.

Shoppers can also support the FAC’s visual arts education programs for underserved groups by purchasing Firehouse-themed candles, greeting cards, and mugs. All proceeds from the sale of these items will directly support programming provided by the Firehouse for veterans, adults with disabilities, children, and individuals from low-income backgrounds.

The Firehouse Art Center is funded in part by select grants from the Oklahoma Arts Council, Norman Arts Council, Allied Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the City of Norman, as well as corporate sponsorships from Republic Bank & Trust and Fowler Automotive. The FAC’s programming would not be possible without the support of individual donors and memberships.
