Free Summer Lunches and Pioneer Library Summer Story Time Offered

The Little Axe Community Center is teaming up with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to provide free lunches to any child 18 years of age and younger beginning June 5 through July 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, except for July 4. There is no income requirement for the program and participants do not need to register for the program.

The Pioneer Library System’s Norman Children’s Librarians will provide “Story Time” on Thursdays. Children can sign up for the Summer Reading program “Build a Better World.” The reading program signups will be on the first “Story Time” session at 10:30 a.m. on June 8 and will end on July 27 with a celebration for everyone who participates at the 10:30 a.m. “Story time.”

The Little Axe Community Center is located at 1000 168 Ave NE, just south of SH-9 on 168 Avenue. For more information, contact the center at 292-9770.
