Junior League of Norman Spices up Annual Charity Ball

Charity Ball benefits various local community programs

The Junior League of Norman’s (JLN) annual Charity Ball event is getting spicy for 2017. The event is planned for Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m. at Embassy Suites – Norman. The hotel will be transformed into a tropical paradise and guests can salsa the night away with this year’s theme, Havana Nights.

Charity Ball has been one of JLN’s largest annual fundraisers for more than 30 years and benefits multiple community programs and events put on by the league.

“Charity Ball brings together the Norman community for an exciting evening while supporting our organization and ultimately benefitting our neighbors in need,” said Samantha Bunyard, Charity Ball chair. “We work on Charity Ball year round. Our goal is to make the event bigger and better every year so we can continue to help more people.”

This year’s Charity Ball will include a Taster’s Affair (various restaurant set ups), live and local salsa dancers, a cigar roller, a silent auction, raffles, and much more. Dress is semiformal and guests are encouraged to embrace the theme and invite their friends for a fun night.

Specialty and regular sponsorships are still available for the event. Specialty sponsors will have the option to have their business name displayed in front of the item(s) they are sponsoring. Interested parties can also purchase a reserved table for $800 or a VIP table for $1,000. Each table seats 10 people. JLN is also accepting goods or services to be used as tax-deductible auction donations.
