Partners in Education Portal

The goal of the Business & Education Committee of the chamber is to enhance the local educational environment so that students and teachers can be even more successful. The committee has worked with Norman Public Schools to create a Partners in Education portal system where principals at individual schools can submit financial, volunteer or in-kind requests. All projects are approved by Norman Public Schools Central administration. Chamber members along with other members of the community can access these opportunities through this portal and select those they want to fulfill and complete. Please check the portal regularly as more requests are added. Many of our chamber businesses are already strong partners with local school sites and we encourage those partnerships to continue. The Committee wants to increase participation so that each school can benefit from the vast resources in the Norman business community. We are also enhancing our partnerships with NPS around work-based learning opportunities for high school juniors and seniors. Through the district’s Internship and Work Based Learning Program, students can pursue career-related internships and experiential placements that help bridge classroom learning with real-world skills and workplace readiness.
