Norman Residents: AARP Livable Communities survey for 40+ aged residents

on January 9, 2019

We are so excited to report that we have launched an AARP Livable Communities survey for 40+ aged residents of Norman, OK at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AARPNorman and we need your valuable input and insights!

A little bit about the survey: the info gathered is part of AARP’s Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities initiative, which encourages communities to prepare for the rapid aging of the U.S. population through awareness of the environmental, economic and social factors. It specifically gathers opinions of Norman’s residents to determine attitudes and opinions on a variety of topics, such as housing, outdoor spaces, transportation and streets, health and wellness, social participation, educational opportunities, volunteering and civic engagement, and job opportunities. It is our hope that results from the survey will assist AARP, city leaders and program administrators identify infrastructure needs and issues in each community and help prioritize issues to be addressed to support older adults’ health and well-being as well as spotlight some incredible successes the community has made over the past several years.

The survey will remain open until Jan. 31, pending the number of responses gathered.

We want to make sure that we get an accurate sampling from the community, so please share widely with your neighbors, friends, and local community groups. Please feel free to share this survey on your social media channels, newsletters, among your staff and to anyone else that would fit the parameter to be a survey respondent (age 40+). If you’d like to share via Facebook, you can share directly from Norman survey Facebook link or you are welcome to cut and paste the copy to fit your specific needs.
