Annual Washington D.C. Fly-In scheduled

The Chamber has scheduled the annual Washington D.C. Fly-in for March 6-8, 2017.

Events include meetings with federal legislators, a congressional breakfast reception, a nightcap reception, and other briefings depending on availability of organizations and annual priorities.

To put your name on the list to receive information, contact Kayla Brandt, 405-321-7260 or email kayla@normanchamber.com. This list does NOT commit you to attending the event, but only receiving information.

The 2017 trip is presented by Fowler Automotive. Platinum sponsors include Republic Bank & Trust; and the University of Oklahoma. Gold sponsors include Arvest Bank. Silver sponsors include BancFirst; INOK Investments; and OG&E.

Additional sponsorships are available. Platinum sponsorships are $1,000 and include recognition at the congressional breakfast, at the nightcap reception and in Chamber publications. Five Transportation sponsorships are available for $750 and at the congressional breakfast, at the nightcap reception and in Chamber publications. Details to begin booking hotels and flights can be found below.

Flight:

Chamber staff and a large portion of trip attendees will take Southwest's direct flight to BWI on March 6th at 7:35 a.m. (flight #459) and the direct flight back to Oklahoma on March 8th at 3:45 p.m. (flight #4182).  The total roundtrip price is currently listed at $329.68.

Transportation:

The estimated cost for a shuttle service this year is $2,500.  If you or your business are interested in sponsoring the bus service or a portion of the cost, please contact Kayla.  If we do not have any transportation sponsorships, the Chamber will organize a shuttle to and from the airport and the cost will be split between everyone who rides (roughly $50 each) and we will take cabs while in DC.

Accommodations:

The Chamber staff will be staying at the W Washington DC (515 15th St. NW) where a block of 10 guest rooms at $937 total per room have been booked.  In order to book at this rate, please call the W’s Central Reservations office at 1 (877) 946-8357.  The block will be reserved under the Norman Chamber of Commerce.  The Hyatt Place DC/Downtown and Club Quarters Hotel are more economical options about 10 minutes walking distance to the W Washington DC.
